ABOUT PHOTOS X KRISTIN

IT's ME, Kristin

Just your average dog obsessing, design loving, plant growing, messy bun wearing, sleep loving, chai drinking, travel loving, photographer. I live tucked away on a 10 acre lot in Sisters, Oregon with my patient and loving husband, Aaron, who is an elementary school teacher.

Cooking brunch is our specialty, just ask anyone who has ever stayed at our house. We love camping in our Airstream RV, lounging on the couch watching true crime, and playing a few rounds of cards at a brewery. Well, Aaron loves the brewery but your girl is gluten free. We love cuddling and kissing on our two little dogs, Rye and Bentley and taking them on adventures.

One hidden passion of mine is dog training! I have rescued several dogs in my life but we got our first puppy during covid (Rye) and boy was that a learning curve. It has been so fun learning about dog psychology and how to best create a calm and enriching environment for them. So needless to say, please bring your dog to your session!

Learning to love the small moments in my life has made me grow to love capturing them in yours.

I’m so grateful for this career and I’m so glad you’re here.

By Kristin is for the families looking to be guided with prompts and captured as they are. Ticklish tiny toes, zerberts, and playing tag are how we get those big genuine smiles. The kind of smiles where you can hear the little laughs just by looking at your images. This season of your life is sweet, tough and it is oh too short, but we can help pause time if only for a second. We want you to look back on these years of your life fondly, with loving memories and kind eyes.

Experience

I bought my first point and shoot camera in college and would tote it around on weekend adventures. I quickly outgrew the camera’s capabilities and invested in my first DSLR camera. I upped the ante and decided to dedicate my instagram to all my weekend adventures and beautiful places I traveled to. My feed became photos of the Oregon Coast, Europe, and the National Forest. My goal was to be a full time nature and architecture photographer like Peter Lik. I figured the best way to do that would be to photograph people and use that money to get my prints, postcards, and calendars in coffee shops and boutiques. Jokes on me, I’ve been photographing people ever since. My first year in business resulted in 8 weddings within six months and endless portraits inbetween. Although I no longer shoot weddings and events, I am so proud of building that business to what it became at just 23 years old. Now that I am 31 and in my eighth year in business, I have honed in on my specialty: growing families through the years. Including pregnancy announcements, maternity, newborn, family, seniors, couples, extended families, and boudoir.
