Eight years ago I set out to create photos that have an artistic spin to the traditional images. Let’s play in the river you grew up visiting, sit in the back of your old bronco, visit your grandpa’s farm or breastfeed your baby in a field of wildflowers you planted. Your photos should be a reflection of you and yours, so let’s include the things and places that mean the most.
We all know this;
time is a thief
You wake up one day and think “where did the time go.”
The people we love grow tall, grow up, and grow wise. These life changes happen in tiny increments daily, and one day add up and catch you by surprise. Those phases in life we have looked forward to have come and gone in the blink of an eye and can be hard to remember with clarity.
The tiny fingers that used to wrap around yours, how he wore his letterman’s jacket with pride, how beautiful your daughter looked pregnant with your grandbabies, all eventually become a distant memory. Capturing these precious moments in your life allow you to remember them with clarity, and show them off to those who weren’t around at the time to enjoy them.
Photographs promise one thing: to capture your memories for a lifetime, not allowing time to be a complete thief.
